LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30, 1984) was an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is known as King James and is considered to be one of the most successful basketball players in history. James has won four NBA championships, four NBA MVPs, three All-Star MVPs as well as two Olympic medals. James has earned the second highest number of career goals, and the seventh in assists. James has been named as an NBA All-Star 18 times. He has been selected to be an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times, and was named on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. In total, he has played in more than 10 NBA Finals, the third-most ever. It was eight in a row between 2011-2018. In 2021 James was named to be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 he became the first athlete to ever in NBA history to accumulate at least 10,000 career points in rebounds and assists. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School close to his home in Akron Ohio. His future NBA career was hyped up by the media. In 2003 his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first in the NBA draft, as a pre-pro. He was voted one of the NBA player of the year for 2004. He soon became one of the premier players in the NBA as he won the NBA MVP Award in the years 2009 and 2010. James, who was unable to be crowned the champion in Cleveland, in the year 2010, was released as a free agent and joined in the Miami Heat. This was disclosed by the book The Decision.
