Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles on the popular television show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Since his college days Meloni had a keen interest in the field of acting. He then studied at his home institution, the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has been in films and television, but the small screen characters which earned him fame and an extensive audience. He has the ability to portray two characters, one from the perspective of the police as well as the different. This is what makes him so popular. When he first appeared on television, for his debut production, he played an infamous serial killer. Then, he played the role of an NYPD Investigator. He was repeatedly recognized for his work in the highly coveted Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. His signature striking blue eyes that are said to make him look handsome. They've helped him convey the rough characters in an enthralling style. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
