Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous for his role as the star of the well-known TV series 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. From the time he was in university Christopher Meloni has always been attracted to the world of acting. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active on film and television however it is his roles on the small screen that gave him popularity and much fans. This is not surprising since his characters have been able to capture audiences' attention by playing characters who are on either sides of the legal system. In his very first TV production, he played an infamous serial killer. Then, he played the role of an NYPD investigator. He has been nominated multiple times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his tiny screen performance. The actor is famous by his blue piercing eyes that have been a signature and helped create a charismatic character for tough roles. The People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured the actor.
