Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began with a series of rap songs that dealt with issues of race and sexuality. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood following the release of an album of raps. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants, was her first music experience. She was a trumpet player. Then, she started the classical and hip-hop genres. In college, she studied journalism and women's studies. Then, she even had a short time studying Mandarin in Beijing. After graduating, she began to pursue music as her main focus. The song My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in 2012. The track was later included on her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The other viral hit songs included Queef track and the eye-catching NYC Bitche$ hometown tour. The third track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide published in 2015, which was a different project. After a successful career as a musician, she took on the role of an actor. Alongside early TV shows, such Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed an array of noteworthy parts, including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
